Josephus Theodorus (Joop) Puntman (Bemmel, 20 maart 1934 - Nijmegen, 12 december 2013) was a Dutch ceramic artist and sculptor.
Puntman studied at the academy of fine arts in Arnhem. After his graduation he started his profession as a ceramic artist at the workshop 'Het Ambacht' in Haalderen, Holland. In this workshop, starting from 1947, vases, bowls and other ceramic works were thrown. In later years the workshop got very well known for making monumental ceramic wall sculptures in commission for schools and governmental buildings. A lot of these murals were designed by Puntman. According to the database of the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie Puntman was a practising artist between approx. 1949 and 1969, although he remained making ceramic works till 2005. Very little work was made in commission, most of it was private work. source: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joop_Puntman
