The cube chair was introduced in 1980 during the Triennale in Poznan Poland and in 1981 the model went in production. Initially in a de-mountable version as building set of round and rectangular metal, in between a upholstering of canvas was wedged.
The epoxed frame, as well as the canvas back and seat were fabricated in black, grey and white.
After 1984 the FM 61 and FM 62 appeared, which was already assembled, with a coloured wooden seat and back or in harness leather.
